What does School Council do?
Devonshire School Council is made up of parent volunteers, our principal, staff and community representatives. Our goals are to:
- Enhance the school experience for all Devonshire students
- Facilitate communication between the school and its community of parents, legal guardians, neighbours, community associations, groups and businesses
- Identify needs of the Devonshire school community and address them in the best interest of Devonshire students
- Plan activities, host special events and raise funds to help provide a positive school environment for Devonshire students
Devonshire School Council meetings are held in the school library on the last Tuesday of the month, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Parents, guardians and their children all welcome to join us for free pizza (5:30-6:00) and then a kids movie and meeting (6:00-7:30). No RSVP or experience necessary, just a desire to be active in your child’s school.
